Should I make a Will?     YES...

Discover Why, When and How

Why

  • Plan ahead. Why put off until tomorrow what can be done today. You never know what tomorrow might bring!

  • Peace of mind. Why spend time worrying about what will happen on your death

  • Remove doubt as to your intentions

  • Make it easier for your family to cope with your death

  • Look after your children and those you care for.

  • Show a token of gratitude to a good friend or neighbour

  • Select your chosen charity, church or other organisation

  • Save or mitigate Inheritance Tax

When

  • Anyone who owns property should consider making a Will

  • Don't wait for a change in circumstances but if you have recently married, separated, bought sold or inherited property make or review your will.

How

  • Making a will is not as complicated as you might imagine.

Don't wait until it is too late

Any one young or old with property should consider making a Will.  You never know what's ahead of you.  There are many hard luck stories which could have been prevented, by a little advance planning.  People whose circumstances have just changed are particularly at risk.

Whilst there are rules which govern what will happen to your estate in the absence of a will, these may not reflect your intentions.

Young couples living together and sharing a mortgage should consider the matter carefully as are married couples who have separated.

"DIY or home made wills can be one of our biggest nightmares. Making a will can be relatively cheap and in some cases when dealing with other business Wilsone & Duffus will not make any charge. Although it does not cost the benefits can be immense.

Wilsone & Duffus's Independent Financial Advisor is also on hand to assist with monetary matters and can carry out an independent financial review.  Whether your coming up for retirement, retired and looking to release some capital for you or your family, wish to provide regular income or advice with your investments or on other financial matters they are pleased to assist and are authorised in the conduct of investment business by the Law Society.

WE WOULD ENCOURAGE ANY ONE WHO OWNS PROPERTY TO DO SO
